Description
Duties:
- respond to public inquiries by telephone and e-mail
- correspond with donors and supporters
- help produce quarterly newsletter
- manage and maintain computerized database of contacts
- coordinate mailings of member and volunteer communication pieces
- assist with coordination, delivery and promotion of organizational activities
- solicit and manage volunteer involvement in the organization
- general office duties (answering telephones, faxing, photocopying)
Qualifications:
- excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
- outgoing and personable
- experience dealing with the public and good telephone manner
- proven ability to work ability to work independently and to take initiative
- high computer proficiency (proficiency in Word, Excel and Access is required; proficiency in PageMaker, Photoshop, FileMaker Pro is desirable design and layout experience an asset
- database management experience an asset
- environmental or ecology background an asset
Terms:
This is a permanent, part-time position of 15 hours per week.
Compensation: $12/hour
