Position Overview

The News Journal, the online and print source for news in Delaware, and a part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, has an immediate opening for reporter to cover the environment and Sussex County, Delaware, home of the state’s beach resorts.

We are looking for a reporter who has knowledge and inquisitiveness about the health of the environment and how it affects residents. Our reporters are very active on social media and work in a 24/7, digital newsroom. Tweets, blog posts, video interviews and online updates are a regular part of the job.

Delaware is a great place to live, just 20 minutes from Philadelphia, 90 minutes from Baltimore and 2 hours from Washington, D.C. and New York City. Delaware beaches are among the best on the East Coast.
