Position Overview

PS&S is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist.

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of experience within the environmental industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, environmental science, or an equivalent field
  • Working knowledge of Federal and New Jersey environmental compliance regulations that include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Clean Air Act/ NJDEP Air Permitting Regulations – GPs, PCPs and Title V
  • Proficient with the use of NJDEP Radius
  • Clean Water Act/New Jersey Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (Wastewater and Industrial Stormwater Permitting)
  • Underground Storage Tank Regulations (Compliance Inspections)
  • Oil Pollution Prevention Regulations/SPCC Planning
  • Safe Drinking Water Regulations
  • RCRA/ NJDEP Solid and Hazardous Waste Regulations
  • Familiar with New Jersey compliance regulations and the performance of multi-media regulatory compliance inspections of industrial, commercial and public facilities
  • Familiarity with the NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation, specifically, Preliminary Assessments
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with a diverse group of people, including non-technical staff
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Excel and Access
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
