About Ford GoBike
Bicycle sharing is a sustainable, healthy, and community-based transport option that enhances urban livability and mobility. Ford GoBike is launching in 2017, bringing 7,000 bikes and over 530 stations to San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville and San Jose.
Position Overview
Ford GoBike is seeking a Advance Team Member to help with the upcoming system launch. The Advance will serve as part of the Deployment Team to ensure that all signage for bike share stations are posted and removed. The Advance will ensure that station installation zones are clear in advance of the Deployment Team coming to install a station. This will include working with the Deployment Coordinator(s) and Expansion Manager(s) to complete all signage requirements for the Bay Area bike share launch.
Responsibilities
- Work alone or with Deployment Team Members
- Ability to ride a bicycle or drive a large vehicle to post, remove, and check the status of notices for all stations set to be deployed, as determined by Launch Leadership
- Complete a daily advanced scope of all station deployments, as determined by Launch Leadership
- Escalate any potential risks that may delay or affect a station being deployed; including towing of vehicles parked in station installation zones, blockage and more
- Ability to review and interpret station site plans to accurately complete site visits and any necessary postings related to the stations
- Ability to correctly and efficiently enter work order data for tracking purposes
- Work with Launch Leadership to ensure timely and productive work flows
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Experience driving a variety of vehicles; bicycles and large vehicles
- Experience navigating different vehicles through city street and knowledge of the Bay Area street layout
- Organized thinker, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs
- This position may require frequent or prolonged standing, sitting, bicycling, driving, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work various shifts; including nights and weekends as needed
- Previous delivery driving, bicycle and/or logistics experience a plus
