Position Overview
At Sun Tribe Solar, we are building a team of the brightest and most passionate individuals. As a Utility Project Manager at Sun Tribe, you will be responsible for managing the overall execution of utility-scale solar PV projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and according to Sun Tribe Solar’s industry-leading quality standards.
The Utility Project Manager reports to the VP of Utility Construction.
Responsibilities
- Planning of project scopes, budgets, contracts, schedules, and quality frameworks
- Accountable for project safety
- Client satisfaction
- Configuration, development and management of well-rounded and qualified project teams including human resources and equipment
- Cash flow monitoring and management
- Project change management
- Risk identification and management
- Subcontract management
- Quality control and assurance system management
- Environmental compliance system management
- AHJ and Utility permitting coordination
- Procurement coordination
- Overall stakeholder engagement and communications
- Supplier and subcontractor qualifications and selection
- Project information management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in utility scale PV system project management
- Proficiency in project management tools and concepts, including project scheduling
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong computer skills including expertise in project scheduling and management software
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Self-motivated
- Honest, reliable, self-aware and conscientious
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent planning, organization and prioritization skills
- Currently holds or is in the process of obtaining NABCEP Installation Professional and/or Technical Sales Certification
