Position Overview

The Environmental Project Manager position is responsible for providing the full range of project management and supervision required for the successful performance, and completion of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all phases of site remediation to include but not limited to; estimating, subcontracts, budgeting, accounting, payroll reporting, cost coding, execution and invoicing of field work.
  • Working directly with managers, office staff, clients and subcontractors to ensure a timely, successful and profitable outcome.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • A working knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous transportation & disposal.
  • Review analytical results to ensure disposal facility compliance.
  • Manage proper disposal of all waste and review waste tracking for timely invoicing.
  • Submit written and electronic reports to different office departments to include purchase orders, vendor quotes, subcontracts, quantity reports and payroll reports IE: timesheets coded to line items and cost categories for job cost accounting.
  • Audit all subcontractor work orders/invoices for accuracy and approval.
  • Providing and maintaining excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Working with Health and Safety professionals to ensure all OSHA, and corporate safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans are followed throughout remedial activities.
  • Communicate effectively to contractors, clients, regulatory officials, etc., through both written and verbal communication.
  • Relay emergency and non-emergency information to managers and personnel in the field.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Candidate must have strong work ethic, integrity and accountability.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field: Environmental Science or related field; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present and communicate with individuals at all levels.
  • Must be proficient with the MS Office Suite to include Excel, Word & Microsoft Project.
  • Be able to read and understand project plans and specification; perform take off of quantities.
  • Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure in a fast pace environment.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have valid driving license.
  • The ability to pass a background check is required and obtain access to DOD facilities
  • 10 years of applicable industry experience.
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour training certificate required.
  • Experience with RCRA, OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Must be located in the GA area or willing to relocate.
  • Will require travel and overnight perdiem work in the US.
  • Must be a team player and work to accomplish common goals.
  • Data entry, excellent written, organizational and verbal communication.
