~ National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) provides objective, science-based information about pesticides and pesticide-related topics to enable people to make informed decisions. ~

Position Overview

We’re excited to announce the NPIC is looking for a team member with English and Spanish fluency to start this June!

As a Pesticide Specialist, you’ll dig into the science to answer technical questions for both the general public and professionals about pesticide risk and related topics. You’ll also develop scientific educational resources like fact sheets, videos, infographics or other publications. This is your opportunity to hone your skills as a science communicator!

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include a B.S. degree in toxicology, environmental science/chemistry, biotechnology, agricultural sciences, public health, biology, soil science, microbiology, environmental science, or closely related scientific area, both written and verbal English and Spanish fluency, and other qualifications.

Compensation

  • Salary range: $42,000 – $44,000
