Position Overview

IEc is currently seeking a Full Time Science Associate with a strong background in biology (e.g., marine, wildlife), ecology, ecotoxicology, or a related field. The successful candidate will support our dynamic, cross-disciplinary work on topics such as natural resource damage assessment, oil spill assessment, habitat restoration, environmental impact analyses, and site remediation. 

Responsibilities

  • Associates design and implement major analyses, interpret and communicate results, and recommend modifications to achieve project objectives.
  • Associates often coordinate projects, interact with clients, and manage Research Analysts’ tasks. Their work requires a high degree of initiative and creativity. 

Qualifications

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to speak and write effectively are required, as is familiarity with quantitative analytic methods applicable to the candidate’s field of study.
  • Preferred skills include statistical analysis, GIS, and proficiency with advanced Excel, including model development.
  • Prior work organizing and analyzing complex datasets or conducting applied ecology analyses is beneficial. 
  • Because IEc is committed to growth from within, we seek Associate candidates with a long-term interest in a consulting career.
  • Associates are eligible for promotion to Senior Associate. 

Required Qualifications:   

  • MA, MS, MBA, MPP, Ph.D.or equivalent in relevant field (see above). 
  • Relevant work, research, or internship experience.
