Adjunct Instructor, Environmental Science

~ Salem Community College is a public, two-year comprehensive associate degree granting institution located in southern New Jersey. ~

Established by the Board of Chosen Freeholders in 1972, SCC is authorized to grant associate degrees (A.A., A.S., A.F.A. and A.A.S.) and certificates in over 30 liberal arts, business, nursing and technology programs of study. SCC is the only higher educational institution in Salem County.

In addition to its campus in Carneys Point, SCC operates the Samuel H. Jones Glass Education Center -- home of the nation's only associate degree program in Scientific Glass Technology -- in Alloway, N.J.

Position Overview

• Salem Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor, Environmental Science. 

Qualifications

Education:

• Master’s degree in Biology or related field.

Experience:

• Teaching experience preferably in a community college setting dealing with diverse student populations.

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to teach environmental science course.
• Ability to use appropriate instructional technology.
• Ability to develop and use innovative instructional approaches such as collaborative learning and group problem solving.
• Ability and willingness to work well with administrators, staff, and faculty.
