Description

~ For over 110 years, Catholic Charities has reached out to all people in need regardless of religion, race, creed or gender. In fact, the majority of our clients and employees are not Catholic. We regularly partner with community, business, and interfaith groups to reach out to anyone who needs help, including the homeless, single moms, people with HIV/AIDS, immigrants, and seniors. ~

Though associated with the San Francisco Archdiocese, we operate as an independent organization and do not directly contribute funds to the church.

Our Mission: Founded in 1907 and rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities supports families, aging adults and adults with disabilities, and youth through human services and opportunities for healthy growth and development.

For more than 110 years, the donors, volunteers, and staff of Catholic Charities have offered solutions and support to vulnerable people, responding to society’s most critical issues with compassion and opportunity. Together, we provide youth, families, homeless individuals and families, and seniors with strength and hope through stabilization, empowerment, and enrichment programs.
