Environmental Science Instructor

Position Overview

The Slippery Rock University Department of Geography, Geology, and the Environment seeks a temporary full-time instructor for fall 2019 to teach introductory environmental science courses. Course load includes introductory Environmental Geology and lab, with other courses as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters in environmental science, geology, environmental studies, or a closely related discipline.
• Successful performance in an interview and teaching presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching environmental science at the undergraduate level.
• PhD preferred.

Recommended candidates will be required to complete criminal background check, including Act 34 Background Check and Act 151 (Child Abuse) Background Check and Federal Criminal (FBI) clearance prior to appointment.
