Position Overview
Kearns & West seeks an Associate in our Portland, Oregon office. Job duties include meeting coordination and logistics, meeting attendance and note taking, database management, client and stakeholder relations, administrative duties, media release prep and advertisement placements, proofreading, preparation of basic informational materials for the public, assistant facilitation opportunities, and more.
Qualifications
- Successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a background/interest in community/regional planning, transportation, natural resource management, renewable energy, transmission, environmental/public policy issues, air quality, public involvement, collaboration and mediation.
- 1 - 2 years of experience is preferred.
- We are looking for a self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
- Some travel is required.
- This position requires initiative, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, strong written and oral communication skills, a quick learner, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Applicant must demonstrate strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management, and proficiency or interest in webinar, website, and data analysis technologies.
- Graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite skills are desirable, but not required.
