Renewable Energy Consultant

We are unlike most of other Solar Installers in that we offer a broad range of Solar and Energy related products such as: Solar Pool Heating, Energy Storage and Solar DHW (Domestic Hot Water). We also have a fully staffed Service department. We are fully focused on the long-term relationship with our customers, our employees and our company as a whole.

Position Overview

Sol-Tek Solar is currently seeking a Renewable Energy Consultant.

Qualifications

What we are looking for in our next Design Consultant:

• Experience - Documented success in an in-home sales consultant role, preferably with Solar or Energy Efficiency, HVAC or other home improvement products or services.
• Self-starter - While we provide the basic tools and support, we rely on our Design Consultants ingenuity, entrepreneurial spirit and go get em’ attitudes in order to attract more business and enhance the customer experience.
• Professionalism - We expect our Design Consultants to present themselves in a manner that instills trust and respect for the brand and the people that make up the Sol-Tek team.
• Planning and Goal Setting - Design Consultants should demonstrate their ability to draft and execute their own plans for revenue generation and growth.
• Schedule Flexibility - Design Consultants work several evenings and weekends when consumers are at home. They also attend trade shows and various networking events as needed and are often "on-call" to respond to prospective customers inquiries.
• Team Player - While most of a Design Consultants time will be spent in the field, it is important to be able to contribute to the over-all processes that assist in successful outcomes for customers. Taking ownership and treating all employees respect is required.
• Approachability and Coachability - Being an active listener and being open to learning new techniques and technologies even when it isn't the way it's been done before will be a helpful trait for this position.

Other required skills and acumen:

• Proficiency with CRM’s (customer resource management) tools (i.e. Sales Force or Net Suite etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A clean DMV record is a must as well as no prior convictions, serious or pending legal issues. 
• Must pass a drug screening to be considered for employment.

Education:

• An Bachelors degree or higher.
• An AA or Technical School degree or Successful Military training and education experience may also be considered.

Compensation:

• A Base salary – Based on experience.
• A competitive commission structure - with uncapped earning potential.
