Position Overview

Trinity Consultants seeks an Environmental Consultant to work in Westerville, Ohio with little travel to client sites. 

Responsibilities

  • Consult with business users to gather information about specific needs, objectives, functions, features, input and deliverables.
  • Research and calculate air emissions for permitting and compliance evaluations.
  • Assess feasibility of potential control technologies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Remain current regarding the latest developments in air pollution control technologies.
  • Little Travel to client sites as necessary to interact with clients and gather project information.
  • Document process information to ensure client operations and work practices are in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Provide air quality permitting, modeling, and compliance solutions to clients.
  • Conduct air dispersion modeling analysis in accordance with project requirements and review the portions of air dispersion modeling involved with the utilization of ArcGIS and large data sets.
  • Develop efficient methods to manage and interpret large data sets such as meteorological data, surface elevation data, and land use data utilizing data management software and techniques.
  • Assemble permit applications, permit amendment applications, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submittal to state regulatory agencies for industrial clients.
  • Develop stack test protocols and review results of analytical testing including gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analysis of complex matrices of hydrocarbons in air/water samples collected during emission testing to ensure the quality of the analysis performed.
  • Understand existing regulations and continually review new and proposed regulations as they relate to industrial clients.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients while soliciting new project work as appropriate.
  • Communicate results of analysis internally and externally in verbal and written form.
  • Assist new project engineers with projects and participate in internal training.
  • Update client information in internal database in a timely manner. 

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Must also have six (6) months of experience in the job offered or as a Research Assistant.
  • Six (6) months of experience must have included all of the following: 
    • Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis; and
    • ArcGIS and Data management software & techniques.
