Position Overview

Bithenergy, Inc. an award-winning energy engineering and technical services consulting firm in Baltimore, Maryland, is currently seeking an energetic, creative, technically solid and highly motivated Manager of Business Development and Technical Sales.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will:

  • Direct and lead technical sales for power generation, information systems, and consulting which must align with Bithenergy’s short term and long term goals
  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships with financiers, IOUs, EPCs, and equipment manufacturers
  • Effectively transition projects from sales and development to operations
  • Develop sales budget with projections and forecasting of expenses

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage diverse, strategic external partnerships
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to meet company sales goals
  • Work closely with clients to understand and manage potential issues around financial, legal, and tax aspects and incentives of renewable energy products
  • Generate, distribute, and maintain project lead logs and sales pipeline
  • Create high quality deliverables on a timely and regular basis (SME content for proposals, budget updates, presentations, financial offerings)
  • Seek out and present land acquisition opportunities with associated capital outlay to executive team
  • Implement, execute, and transmit appropriate documentation risk tools on Bithenergy letterhead to manage, eliminate, and shift risk (NDAs, LOIs, PPAs, Term Sheets, MIPA, etc.)
  • Facilitate effective bi-weekly sales meetings
  • Utilize Salesforce to its fullest potential including contacts, pursuits, proposals, etc.
  • Identify growth areas to expand the services offered within each company vertical
  • Proper and timely engagement of internal Bithenergy staff in pursuit & development opportunities (marketing, proposals, administrative, operations, etc.)
  • Maintain client relationships post contract award

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Business, Technical degree preferred
  • Eight (8) years of experience in Sales and Business Development preferred
  • Three to five (3 – 5) years of experience in Energy and Renewable industry required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to successfully manage multiple deals simultaneously
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to clients and industry trade events (approx. 25%)
