 ~ ICAST (International Center for Appropriate & Sustainable Technology) is a nonprofit social enterprise currently engaged in solving our affordable housing and climate change crisis in a financially sustainable manner. ICAST projects serve low income populations by investing in local communities, reducing resource waste, and help build local capacity. ~

Position Overview

ICAST needs a second Colorado/New Mexico Business Development Executive Sales Rep to help expand its regional presence of energy efficiency work with multi-family properties.

Call on multifamily (apartment) owners and managers to walk properties and determine remodeling, rehab, green retrofit services and/or energy efficiency upgrades opportunities for their facilities. Develop Scopes of Work, and obtain signed contract for the retrofit work. The position will also involve recordkeeping, and maintaining contact management system on SalesForce.The candidate will also call on Attorneys, Bankers, CPAs, Mortgage Bankers, RE Brokers, Commercial Insurance agents, etc to obtain referrals to MultiFamily Property Owners.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

  • Network with professionals involved in or connected to the multifamily housing industry to obtain referrals
  • Reaching out to property owners and managers to sell energy retrofit projects
  • Working with operations team to perform energy audits and develop Scopes of Work for green upgrades to multifamily properties
  • Regularly report on team and individual results: pipeline, conversion rates, and weekly and monthly performance
  • Closing contracts with new and existing customers
  • Follow-up with clients to resolve pending requests for data

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience with inside or outside sales and 3-5 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) construction sales, (3) multifamily housing, (3) energy efficiency
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of utility rebate programs and incentives
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and affordable housing
  • Knowledge of off balance sheet financing options such as PACE or EPC
