Agency Mission

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency leads the cooperative effort to preserve, restore, and enhance the unique natural and human environment of the Lake Tahoe Region, while improving local communities, and people’s interactions with our irreplaceable environment. Below is information on the Organization and the types of Paid Internships TRPA offers. Internships are not offered every season and are subject to changes to accommodate work demands.

Work Environment

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is an exciting and challenging place to work.  Our staff is focused on developing sustainable communities, planning for alternative modes of transportation, restoring the natural environment and creating environmental gain for the Tahoe Basin. We have a diverse workforce and offer opportunities to work with professional planners, natural resource specialists, and administrative staff committed to achieving outstanding results.
