AECOM Wins Navy Contract for Solar Projects

AECOM Technology Corporation (NYSE: ACM) announced that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the development of solar power projects.

AECOM will team with project developer Solar Power Partners (SPP) to develop installations at Navy and Marine Corps sites in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah.

Under the contract, which has one base year and four additional option years, AECOM will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for solar power systems, while SPP will finance and own the systems.

AECOM-SPP is one of five firms that won IDIQ contracts for this work.
The five contracts have a combined potential value of US$100 million.
These contractors may all compete for task orders under the terms and
conditions of the contract.
