Chinese Solar Firm Files for IPO

A Chinese producer of polysilicon for the photovoltaic solar industry has filed for an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange.

Reuters reported that Daqo New Energy Corp intends to raise up to $108 million by selling 6.5 million American Depositary Shares (ADS) at a price between $12.50 and $14.50 per share.

The shares will be listed under the symbol "DQ" and the company reportedly has plans to expand vertically into production and installation of solar panels.
