Position Overview:
The Asset Management Analyst is an integral part of GCL's Asset Management (AM) team. Under the direction of the department head and AM Manager, this position's primary job will be to review, document and analyze GCL's operating solar farms.
In addition to this role, the analyst will be responsible for interfacing with a variety of internal and external customers as well as ensuring accurate invoicing and payment of vendors and contracts.
This position is responsible for providing routine systems reports, tracking all system data, and providing necessary preliminary analysis to help AM improve the operational efficiency of GCL's solar utility power plants. The Analyst will also handle the AM departmental administration work such as scheduling department meetings, creating agendas, an database/contract maintenance.
Specific Duties:
Operational
- Review daily operations of operational sites
- Track and report on equipment status
- Generate detailed performance reports and analysis
- Analyze contractual performance metrics
- Coordinate maintenance and repair services
- Ensure invoices for work are accurate
- Interface with vendors and OEMs
- Administrative department activities including scheduling meetings, travel and other duties
- Provide AM reports
- Analyze and benchmark the O&M industry to provide market intelligence
Financial
- Support the maintenance a comprehensive O&M cost model
- Interface with the Business Development team on O&M costs
- Interface with lenders and create lender reports
- Support the Operations & Planning Team
Required Skills:
- Bachelor Degree in a technical field (Engineering or Finance
- preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering or Energy
- Production
- Experience with finance models and utility power plant operations
- Advanced Excel modeling skills
- Database maintenance skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in writing procurement specifications for solar
- power plant systems
- Familiarity with solar power plant systems such as collector systems, inverters and SCADA
- Experience with O&M cost modeling
- Bilingual (Chinese Mandarin) a strong plus
