Responsibilities:

  • Close new business. Responsible for sales of new photovoltaic systems to residential and small commercial clients within the North Bay company service area
  • Meet individual sales targets: Generate, manage, follow up on qualified leads
  • Perform site visits, draw roof diagrams, take measurements and photos, and other related tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare timely and accurate proposals and present to prospective clients
  • Communicate effectively in person, by phone and in writing with clients as appropriate.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in all aspects of the business at all times
  • Constantly update personal knowledge base regarding products, utility rates, incentives and industry trends
  • Participate in marketing and outreach projects through community based networking
  • Work with administrative, design and installation staff for smooth, timely work flow
  • Comply with all company required procedures, work flow systems and legal requirements
  • Attend manufacturers' certification trainings
  • Perform assigned tasks willingly and on time within a minimum 40 hour work week
  • Fulfill all company required reporting on sales activity
  • Attend all required company sales meetings.

Qualifications: 

  • Proven expertise in consultative Solar Sales and customer service
  • A technical background fully understanding the principle of photovoltaics
  • Familiarity with tools of the business including Solmetric, payback analysis, CSI tools as well as competency in office tools such as Excel, Word, Visio or CAD (not a requirement).
  • Must be comfortable with heights, carrying and using ladders, accessing roofs, lifting up to 30 lbs, bending and reaching all in a safe manner
  • A current valid driver's license with a clean driving record to be eligible to drive company vehicles when required
  • A personable character with strong closing skills and a persuasive personality
  • Must possess an excellent sales and ‘can do' attitude with a strong desire to succeed in a sales environment that is commission and incentive driven.
  • Must have a laptop and reliable vehicle.
