Position Overview:
EnerNOC, a thought leader in the energy industry, is seeking a skilled Build Engineer to deliver exemplary performance in the execution of our software and database build and deployment processes. Responsibilities:
As our Software Build and Release Engineer located in Boston MA, you will be responsible for insuring the reliable and consistent execution of the company's Engineering software and database application build and deployment processes, including source control management and production support of the software and environment. Critical to your success in this role will be the ability to bring excellent communication skills to the table, both written and verbal, as you interface with groups both internal and external to the Engineering group.
Qualifications:
Your experience with both the software development process and the release process coupled with your exceptional planning abilities will ensure that every release under your guidance is executed flawlessly. It is preferable that you have some exposure to the Agile environment.
Your understanding of software configuration management principles and your attention to detail will ensure that all of the needed steps for the release have been completed. Your technical expertise in build systems and source code control will allow you to hit the ground running as you undertake the task of automating the release process.
Prior experience with build tools like Maven, Ant, Continuum, or Hudson as well as source control tools like Subversion or CVS will be essential for this role. Experience with additional technologies like shell scripting in a Linux environment, Java, and Oracle RDBMS are also desired.
