Position Description:
PSE's Energy Efficiency Services division is experiencing rapidly growing targets to acquire least-cost energy resources through efficiency improvements in all customer sectors. To support this demand we are currently seeking 3 Senior Market Analysts skilled in both communication and analytical skills to join our team!
The Sr. Market Evaluation Analyst will primarily focus on current and growing evaluation work, allowing us to rebalance the workload among PSE staff and consulting vendors, and provide for increased involvement and feedback with EES implementation Staff. Combined analytical, interpersonal and negotiating skills are called on frequently in addressing the multiple interests of implementation staff, other internal and external stakeholders.
The Sr. Program Development Market Analysts will primarily focus on analysis and development activities in support of Customer Energy Management programs implementation staff. Activities will include analysis and development of new Energy Efficiency technologies, development and implementation of new program pilots, leveraging memberships in Energy Efficiency organizations, and analysis of program achievements with detailed feedback and summaries.
In this role, you will:
- perform evaluation of program benefits and costs and related analyses
- identify project needs, develop scopes of work, and select contractors/consultants as appropriate
- present program results, data, or other work products to internal and external audiences
- design, maintain, update, and analyze market information and databases
- oversee and coordinate consultant and contractor work, along with the development of new product/service features and offerings.
- lead and participate in multidisciplinary project teams.
- develop new stakeholder/constituent relationships
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in market/program/product analysis, research, or evaluation
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, planning, public policy, or other relevant field. Relevant utility experience beyond the minimum requirement may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Can work independently to complete complex projects with limited direct supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to synthesize data and other information into clear, actionable deliverables
- Ability to work well with others, take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, other presentation and analytical tools
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree requiring strong statistical, economic or database analysis skills
- Experience with electric or gas demand-side management program planning, market research, evaluation, regulation, or policy analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of SAS, statistical analysis and utility billing systems
