Test Engineer

We have a current opening for a Test Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) in our Seattle office. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design, manage, implement and report on various tests and measurements of wind turbine equipment and meteorological measurement systems. 
• Procure and/or fabricate mechanical test fixtures. 
• Install and calibrate measurement systems in the field. 
• Be responsible for quality of incoming data and troubleshoot measurement problems remotely and in the field. 
• Analyze incoming data and report on findings per relevant standards and company practices. 
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills are required. 
• Familiarity with wind power engineering, meteorological measurements, and electrical power measurements is beneficial but not required. 
• Previous instrumentation experience is required. 
• Experience with Campbell Scientific, Inc. data acquisition systems is a plus.  
• Must be able to work in confined spaces on towers up to 140 meters tall, lift 60 lbs, and have a valid driver's license. 
• Significant travel will be required.  
• The ability to write clear and accurate reports is essential. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or other engineering discipline preferred, scientific backgrounds with relevant experience will be considered. 
• Five or more years of work experience required.
