Description

Resource Solutions Group is a dynamic new company focusing on energy efficiency and overall resource management, with current programs in sectors including wineries, K-12 school buildings, campus housing and HVAC systems. 

The Energy Efficiency Engineer will help to assess energy savings potential, provide hands-on assistance to program participants throughout the efficiency upgrade process. The best candidate will offer building science skills, strong ability to work with key decision makers and capability to work in project teams. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct field energy audits, develop site-specific energy audit reports, and review report recommendations with program participants 
  • Work with team to develop and document energy savings estimates for recommended technologies and practices 
  • Serve as a technical resource for the team across multiple projects 
  • Forge strong contacts within the targeted industry and building sectors 
  • Communicate the engineering and technical aspects of building improvement measures 
  • Coordinate with project teams including staff and subcontractors to develop, implement and track energy efficiency projects 
  • Provide technical training and program support to encourage project implementation 
  • Provide project management support during project implementation 
  • Communicate programs to target market through meetings, presentations, events, and tradeshows

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Engineering is mandatory 
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant engineering role, building science and/or energy efficiency is required 
  • Experience with building energy audits and energy systems (HVAC, lighting, motors, process equipment) preferred 
  • Strong presentation, writing and customer relationship skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail essential

This is a full time position based in Half Moon Bay, CA that requires a willingness to travel, the ability to multitask, a positive attitude and technical aptitude in the building science sector.
