Position Summary

The Western Regional Sales Manager – Natural Channel, is responsible for the development and leadership of HempFusion’s Western Region Brokerage Network and Direct Sales team. This role is responsible for delivering on Natural Channel sales plans and making strategic and tactical decisions on the activities for the sales team. The role also involves building collaborative relationships with key account personnel, coaching and mentoring of the sales team, and taking ownership of sales forecasts, budgets, profit margins, and resources.

Scope:

  • Lead a growing sales team made up of brokerage networks, account executives, account specialists, and demo specialists.
  • Manage the regional sales forecasts and budgets while adhering to strategic objectives and profit margins.

Position reports to: National Sales Director – Natural and Alternative Channels 

Travel: 50% plus, Valid driver’s license and car insurance needed

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Manage, educate on, and execute corporate strategy.
  • Accompany Sales Reps on structured business meetings with accounts.
  • Train Sales Reps to gather, analyze and utilize sales data to fill voids and make well-rounded business decisions.
  • Coordinate store training with key accounts and national educators.
  • Maximize resources utilized with Sales Reps.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key accounts.
  • Monitor Sales Reps progress with sales strategy and meeting projections.
  • Create and direct strategic planning for key accounts and independents.
  • Provide feedback to upper management on sales strategy, tools, new products, and Sales Rep performance.
  • Be a positive driving force to deliver or exceed the annual sales plan.
  • Hold the team accountable for sales process and deliverables.
  • Set and communicate clear objectives, expectations, and priorities that motivate and create a positive, collaborative and accountable work environment for continued success.
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communication for team members and management.
  • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with key account holders.
  • Participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks and demonstrating characteristics that exemplify team building and support.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills:

  • BS/BA Degree
  • 3+ years leading a regional direct sales force and/or brokerage networks within the Natural Channel
  • CBD and/or Probiotic category experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven track record of leading a sales team to exceptional performance
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, decision making, time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationships with natural retailers
  • Ability to successfully coach and develop individuals in a competitive sales environment
  • Team player with the ability to interface with multiple departments
