Translator

Duties:

• Translate a variety of texts from English into French
• Occasionally translate texts from French into English
• Edit documents translated by office colleagues
• Edit and proofread documents
• Develop and update a terminology bank, as appropriate

Qualifications:

• Perfect fluency in written and spoken English and French
• Knowledge of the environmental sector and its terminology
• University degree in translation, which may be compensated by the equivalent in relevant experience
• Versatility and ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously
• Sociability, creativity, attention to detail
• Professionalism and ability to adapt to new situations
• Ability to work harmoniously with a team

Terms:

Employment type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: $40,000 to $42,000 per year
Conditions: Unionized workplace
Fringe benefits
Six-month probationary period
