Description

We have an immediate opening for a Senior National Account Manager to lead the customer relationship for Lundberg Family Farms products across our retailers, distributors and brokers. This position can be remote or work at our Richvale, CA headquarters.

As the Sr. National Account Manager, you will be charged with delivering the sales, trade and profit plan for your respective business. The Senior National Account Manager builds account/channel-specific business plans that address key customer opportunities, competitive threats and distribution/space/pricing/promotion direction.

  • UNFI Distributor Account Management
  • Sprouts Account Management
  • Raley’s Account Management
  • Natural Channel West Account Management – Key Accounts & Independent Retailers

General Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver profitable sales growth against targeted customers; meet sales and trade budgets for assigned accounts within the annual operating plan (AOP).
  • Minimum assigned retailer dollar volume of $6M (wholesale gross sales) and/or $20M+ of distributor/wholesaler dollar volume (wholesaler gross sales).
  • Achieve sales goals by penetrating all functions and levels (including above buyer) of customer (retailer, distributor) as well as broker.
  • Develop and lead top-to-top representation and category reviews with customers.
  • Develop strategic account joint business plans to deliver against company sales and in-store execution targets for distribution/space/pricing/promotion.
  • Analyze available syndicated data (Nielsen/SPINS, etc.) to understand trends and opportunities at respective customers, integrating those insights into account-specific business plans.
  • Work with Marketing/Shopper Marketing team to develop promotional and customer programs to support/achieve the customer selling agenda.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or other related field with progressive managerial responsibilities.
  • 6+ years of sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry, preferably in food categories. Strong experience across multiple retail channels (minimum two) including natural, grocery, mass, club and e-commerce channels is preferred.
  • Experience working directly with major retailers (national to regional), distributors, brokers.

Required skills and capabilities:

  • Ability to partner with internal functions to ensure delivery of effective business plans (Customer marketing, Finance/trade, Operations, Transportation, Agriculture).
  • Strong leadership skills across business and people as demonstrated by track record of top tier business results, customer wiring, company recognition, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the agenda for large, fast-growing and emerging customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to create joint business plans with customers that deliver above target sales, trade and profit results.
  • Strong understanding of major channels of business including natural chain retailers, grocery, mass, club and/or e-commerce.
  • Strong ability to lead and set agenda for multiple brokers across channels.
  • Intermediate to advanced technical skills, including Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
