The Sr. Finance Manager reports directly to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis and works closely with the Finance, Integrated Supply Chain, and Engineering leadership teams to develop best-in-class financial and operational analysis. This position will also be responsible for leading the implementation of an integrated financial systems strategy and finance-wide process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate must possess a passion for driving the finance organization to new and higher levels of value through insight into business drivers and results. This person must understand business objectives, proactively create analysis and tools to identify issues, provide recommendations for improvement and drive decisions and actions to optimize results. This individual will communicate with all departments in order to gain the necessary information to take the company to the next level of performance and market recognition. This is a full-time position.

Title: Sr. Finance Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategically partner with our Integrated Supply Chain and Engineering teams to provide thoughtful and timely financial analysis to drive operational improvements
  • Work with our SAP and Finance teams to develop and implement a financial systems strategy that delivers dynamic, timely and accurate financial analytics
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan
  • Be a champion for process improvement across the Finance and Accounting function. Work with other parts of the organization to implement best practices, develop standard work, and to reduce processing time
  • Drive analysis to determine functional capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Recognize where issues may occur and be proactive in planning to mitigate them
  • Manage reports and analyze results to make recommendations to business leaders
  • Lead complex special projects related to new processes, issues or changes in structure
  • Design, pilot and implement new operational and financial models for key supplier and customer initiatives
  • Instill a mindset of continuous process improvement consistent with accounting principles, corporate policies and government regulations

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing and product costing
  • A team player that is a highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to maintain a cooperative and professional work relationship with internal and external partners Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in financial systems implementation and partnering with IT
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent, is required. CMA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent, is a plus.
  • 7+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
  • Advanced ERP knowledge
