Position Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a national EPC business in the USA, specialists in C&I projects for Solar + Storage.

We have an opening for a Project Manager - Solar, C&I Projects position. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / SPM with key experience of Commercial Solar project Construction experience, ideally based in MA or open to relocating.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conceptual and detailed design for site development and solar plant electrical systems
  • Design review of electrical plans, specifications, calculations, and studies
  • Construction management of multiple projects; provide timely client communications
  • Manage all aspects of the contract with the owner (EPC Agreement) that affect construction
  • Change order management
  • RFI and submittals management
  • Conducting site visits, inspections and construction monitoring
  • Commissioning and QA/QC documentation
  • Management of all on site safety
  • Interfacing with clients to discuss all aspects of the project
  • Prepare proposals including scope of services, schedule, budget, and documentation requirements
  • Responsible for all phases of design and documentation for the monitoring components of commercial solar electric systems
  • Manage the design of monitoring systems
  • Support all phases of design, procurement, installation,
  • Prepare calculations and drawings for permitting and approvals
  • Develop cost estimates for equipment, materials, and labor
  • Prepare, maintain, and control bills of material, manuals, and drawings
  • Support vendor selection, procurement process, permitting submission, and submission of interconnection applications
  • Manage performance analysis of solar production
  • Provide inspection, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting in the field
  • Determining scope, writing specifications, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of arrays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Successful candidates have:

  • Proficient project management skills
  • Positive attitude, high energy, supportive team member, problem solver, able to work in a collaborative environment as well as work on self-directed independent projects
  • Working knowledge in the field to efficiently resolve, sitework, structural, electrical, and interconnection issues of a distributed solar array as they arise
  • Strong organizational skills to manage the activities required in the design and permitting requirements of solar electric systems
  • Ideally based in the Boston region, wider MA able to travel as required state-wide or open to relocating

Compensation: Salary is DOE - negotiable.
