Program Manager, Sustainability

Position Overview

Village Green is searching for a passionate Program Manager to oversee environmental education and outreach programs for the 40,000 teammates (employees) and 125,000 patients throughout our Village. As a Program Manager you have a variety of responsibilities and while each day will bring new challenges, your main areas of focus will be the education of teammates and patients regarding environmental sustainability and the 2015 Village Environmental Goals. The Program Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Village Green to create meaningful and impactful programs to reduce DaVita's environmental footprint while also educating those around us.

About Village Green

DaVita Village Green was created to ensure the Village was continually improving in how we take care of the world around us. Our main goal is to reduce the environmental impact of our operations - in both the field facilities and in business offices - while educating both our teammates and our patients on why we are making these changes and what they can do to help.

Village Green will provide continual improvement and modifications to environmental programs through comprehensive tracking and monitoring and offer a comprehensive approach to educational outreach for our teammates, patients, families, and communities at large.

Program Management

• Manages and leads cross-functional team(s) and subject matter experts in the development, planning, and implementation of multiple projects and/or programs in environmental sustainability
• Strong program management skills are required to drive multiple sustainability programs in parallel and develop the strategic direction for the overall program.
• Increase participation in existing environmental recycling and education programs
• Lead Green Teams throughout the business offices as well as the volunteer teammates in the field operations.
• Create environmental training materials for new teammates specific to position and location needs
• Revise criteria for green certification of clinics and business offices and oversee the application and certification process
• Create education content specific to both teammate and patient newsletters
• Gather and maintain a database of environmental program success stories; work with communications and marketing to review marketing materials and field informational requests from external audiences.

Qualifications

• 2+ years general corporate sustainability experience.
• Bachelor's degree require; Environmental Science/Studies or similar Sustainability oriented degree preferred.
• Passion for environmental sustainability.
• Experience leading change initiatives across a broad audience; experience in environmental initiative preferred.
• Professional office experience required.
• Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook; Advance proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Strong communications skills, especially through emails and public speaking.
• Comfortable/capable with basic quantitative tasks.
