Position Overview:
AERC Recycling Solutions is looking for a Program Coordinator to support a collection program in New Jersey. The program is focused on collecting electronics for recycling from individuals and small business owners in the state of New Jersey. In addition to AERCs Flanders, NJ facility, other collection points are being set up throughout the State of New Jersey. The Program Coordinator will work with internal AERC contacts in improving the efficiency of the program as well as external (i.e. collection locations) points of contact in adding and managing collection sites.
This is a full time position which will require working some weekends for collection events or other relevant activities. The exact hours of this position will be determined on the needs of the program. The Program Coordinators schedule and comp time will be adjusted to follow the model of working 5 days and having 2 days off each week. The company's standard working hours are 8:30AM - 5:00PM. These working hours will be adjusted to fit the needs of the collection program.
The position is based out of Flanders, New Jersey but will require traveling to other locations in NJ, as appropriate (mileage to be reimbursed by the company).
This is a position that will serve well for an individual who respond to opportunities and executes the daily responsibilities with a strong sense of purpose.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with potential and current customers.
- Service existing collection sites and seek out new opportunities for collection sites.
- Responsible for organization of eCycling (Electronics Recycling) collection events.
- Service, develop and maintain current collection sites for electronics.
- Continuously improve upon the organization and flow of the collection program.
- Look for new drop off locations with municipalities, retailers, any qualifying locations.
- Prepare bid documentation, pricing, proposals, quotes and yearly forecasts as necessary.
- Maintain daily communication with management and sales team about the progress of the program and needs for adjustment. (This may include a weekly / biweekly report.)
- Reliable, regular attendance and punctuality essential to meet customer/business needs.
- Other duties to be assigned / taken on as appropriate for the program as it develops.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a Customer Service / Sales based function.
- Customer oriented attitude. Friendly and personable.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Equally able to work independently and with a team.
- Friendly and results oriented attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Quick Learner.
- Responsible and diligent worker who won't stop until the job is done.
- Worked at or managed Household Hazardous Waste or Electronics collection events (preferred).
- Driving capabilities - does not need CDL but must clear medical to drive a non-CDL truck (preferred).
