Want to learn organizing skills while you stand up for bold climate action and a transition to clean energy and transportation?

The Climate Team Fellowship is a 12 week volunteer training program of EDF Action, the advocacy partner of the Environmental Defense Fund, beginning June 1st, 2021. This role may be done anywhere in Nevada.

As a Climate Team Fellow, you will:

  • Participate in weekly classroom activist trainings on specific organizing/advocacy skills, hear from experts on climate action, and complete field practicum. Total 5 volunteer hrs per week. 
  • Lobby your elected officials during July Recess, plan and execute a large visibility event to take place at the end of the program, and learn to use social media and earned media to advocate for climate action.
  • Graduate from the Fellowship with new skills, a certificate of completion, and a personalized letter of recommendation. 

Qualifications & Application 

  • We are seeking energetic activists looking to build a movement and capture the opportunity to win on climate policy.
  • Applications should be thoughtful and thorough and will be followed up with an interview.
  • We seek applications from all walks of life and especially encourage women of color and LGBTQAI+ candidates to apply.

Due to COVID-19, the Summer Fellowship will begin virtually and be reassessed as circumstances develop. If the situation improves significantly, and it is safe to congregate, fellows will be expected to attend training sessions or events, if able.
