Manager, Origination & Structuring (Renewable Energy) 2021

We are seeking a talented self-starter, who is highly motivated and capable of assuming increasing responsibility in a dynamic growth environment.

Position Overview

The Manager of Origination & Structuring will be focused on Corporate and Industrial (C&I) buyers of renewable energy and energy retailers who provide retail choice solutions to such buyers, including interacting with these buyers and other relevant market participants as well as managing research, proposal development, financial analytics, and participation in RFPs and similar processes. The position will report to the Company’s Director of Origination & Structuring.

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities will include:

• Initial focus on the US market, with potential for some exposure to international markets as the role evolves over time.*

• Interacting with C&I buyers in market outreach, relationship development, and assessing and providing solutions to serve buyers’ interests.*

• Interacting with market participants including utilities, energy retailers, trade associations and others in assessing potential structure, context and economics of various energy supply methods and products. *

• Managing and performing research and financial analytics for procurement mechanisms, green tariff programs and other alternatives and related value proposition to buyers.*

• Working closely with developers and other internal functions to assess and coordinate project pipeline opportunities relative to solutions for buyers.*

• Working closely with the Director of Origination & Structuring to review market dynamics and strategic priorities, along with day to day activities.*

• Managing assessment, preparation and submission of proposals to buyers including bilateral dialogues and bids into requests for proposals and related activities.*

• Providing detailed reporting of ongoing origination function activity, market data, trends and related topics.*

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience and a strong record of accomplishment in relevant roles*

• Renewable energy or power industry experience required*

• Experience with US market utilities, and their programs and economics, preferred*

• Skilled at analyzing opportunities and problems and arriving at clear decisions, utilizing detailed analysis*

• Strong project, process and organizational skills*

• Financial analysis skills*

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams*

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously*

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills*

• Bachelor’s Degree required, and an MBA or Law Degree preferred*

• Experience working in MS Office Suite (Office, Excel, and Powerpoint) and Google Cloud Applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Presentations)*
