Indeck owns, has owned, or has developed over 4,000 MW of electric generation assets, and currently owns and operates 350 MW across six electric power generation facilities in various U.S. markets.

Role Summary

Come join our team! Indeck Energy, a leader in the development and operation of renewable and conventional power generation, is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst who will directly support management in its project financing and capital raising activities for utility scale renewable generation developments across the US. Join Indeck Energy as we transition to a sustainable development strategy focused primarily on renewable generation (solar PV, battery storage, and wind) and expand our team with seasoned, highly motivated professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop discounted cash flow (DCF) models to analyze the economic merits and risks associated with wind, solar, storage and natural gas projects.
  • Contribute to the development of project financing structures and analyze alternative approaches.
  • Collaborate with company engineers, developers, originators, and accounting professionals to develop appropriate assumptions for project models.
  • Interpret terms in operating agreements, financing agreements, power hedge agreements, and other project agreements and communicate findings to management.
  • Analyze financial performance of existing assets, identify areas for optimization, and support plant operations on dispatch decisions.
  • Prepare annual plant budgets, organize critical assumptions, and analyze variable and fixed cost components.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Engineering.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex financing models in Excel.
  • Familiarity with project or corporate finance transactions and documentation.
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses self-starter qualities with the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize a number of concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with project or corporate finance equity transactions in power generation or energy/utilities sector preferred.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without employer support or sponsorship.

Note: Non-remote. Must be able to come into the office, M-F, 8am - 5pm
