Position Overview

An Energy Analyst will use meter data from commercial buildings to provide operational insights that lead to energy savings and assist with provisioning, uploading, managing and auditing this data. This is a Part-Time Telecommute position: roughly 3-5 hours over the weekend and 12-15 hours during the week per week. Work from home or anywhere.

Responsibilities

• Over the weekends, the energy analyst will assist with delivery of energy reports to customers.
• The person in this role will work with smart meter interval data from commercial buildings to deliver operational insights and energy savings.
• During the week, the energy analyst will assist with auditing utility bills, provisioning and managing customer data, data entry and uploading of utility bill and interval data, custom energy reports, and ad hoc projects.

Note: Although a background in energy or building management is preferred, we provide full training for the position.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and close attention to detail
• Solid writing and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• A background in energy or building management is preferred but not required
• An understanding of commercial utility billing (TOU rates, demand charges, working with kW interval data, etc.) is strongly preferred but not required
• 15-20 hours of availability on a weekly basis, including: 3-5 hours over the weekend and 12-15 hours during the week per week. Note that up to half of weekday work will need to be during normal business hours. The remainder can be completed at anytime.
