ROLE OF A TRADER

As a Trader at STX, you’ll focus on translating complex data and information into concrete trading opportunities. More specifically, you’ll be tasked with aggregating data and turning it into simple and practical solutions that benefit prospective clients. In the ever-evolving environmental commodities market, trading is a highly challenging job – one that requires outstanding analytical skills and the ability to work well under pressure. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Setting up the renewable fuels trading desk and responsible for the performance of the fuels trading book
• Developing new trading opportunities across North America
• Building and managing relationships with both the supply and buy-side
• Identify and utilize market opportunities in the biofuels marketplace, including the rins and lcfs credits
• Working closely with the renewable fuels trading teams in Europe as well as the STX’s risk and management teams
• Setting up the necessary operations team to assist in executing the deals closed

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to grow and manage a successful trading team
• You have got 4+ years of experience as a renewable fuels trader (biodiesel, ethanol, distillate, renewable feedstocks, etc.)
• You have an active and substantial portfolio of suppliers and end users
• Experience throughout the value chain in logistics, operations, risk management, and sales
• Working rights in the United States
