Position Overview:

This North American IPP power development business is currently seeking an experienced Asset Management Director. This position requires some travel.

Primary Accountabilities of Position:

Manage the company's interest in all operational projects

  • Lead the operations of all company power plant assets
  • Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
  • Manage relationships with off-takers and O&M providers


Maximize project profit returns and establish long-range project business strategies

  • Cost reduction and output improvement for operational assets
  • Maintain project financial perspectives including but not limited to project budgeting, monthly cash flow forecasting, departmental budgeting, and capital expenditures
  • System efficiency optimizations

Create project Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contracts during project acquisitions

  • Deliver on-time and best-company-interests within O&M contracts
  • Build and defend O&M core competencies against industry benchmark data
  • Oversee the execution of O&M contracts

Provide O&M market intelligence

  • Research, study and provide O&M market benchmark reports
  • Provide a roadmap for O&M improvement (cost reduction, efficiency increase, value added service, and other) 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Engineering &/or Finance preferred, MBA or MS Degree preferred
  • 8 or more years of Utility Scale Power Plant Asset Management experience
  • 5 or more years of management experience
  • 3 or more years of experience in the solar project development industry
  • Strong experience with utility Power Purchase Agreements and EPC contracts
  • Project finance experience in the power generation sector, insurance knowledge preferred
  • Strong ability to organize and coordinate complex data with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical coupled with excellent verbal reasoning skills
  • Results oriented, "self-starting" professional
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with unquestionable integrity
