Junior Environmental Analyst

Overview

ERG is seeking an entry-level Environmental Analyst with 0-3 years of work experience and a B.S./B.A. in environmental science, environmental policy, or a related field. The candidate will bring creativity and attention to detail to a range of projects supporting public sector clients and programs. Primary project assignments will focus on airports, transportation, air quality, and emissions reductions.  

Responsibilities

This position’s duties will include:

• Creating communications content and materials.
• Conducting stakeholder outreach activities and interviews.
• Preparing event logistics and providing meeting support.
• Supporting research and data management.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

• Is a motivated self-starter, comfortable both working and learning independently and collaborating with colleagues and clients in person and in a virtual environment.
• Can balance and prioritize assignments with competing deadlines.
• Is an excellent writer and effective communicator.
• Can distill and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Has experience writing for various audiences (technical, general public, industry stakeholders) and across all mediums (print, online, and social).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Experience with web development, graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign), and/or transportation-related emissions modeling is a plus.

Compensation

• This is a full-time position that will require you to work in-person 3-5 days per week from ERG’s Boston office.
• The salary range for this position is $43,000-$48,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
