At Ecoplexus, we are a rapidly-growing developer of large solar, wind and energy storage projects serving corporate and utility energy purchasers. Position Overview:

The Director of Engineering will lead the development of the vision, strategy, and technology in the Engineering Department.

• Develop and implement the strategic technology plan and comprehensive product road map with VP, EPC for the Engineering Department.
• Accountable for establishing and evolving the vision for Company engineering department
• Attract, develop and retain electrical engineers, civil engineers, structural engineers, mechanical engineers and designers for increased capacity to execute roadmap. Manages the team.
• Continuous engineering process experience.
• Ensure that electrical designs that are being produced are in compliance with contractual requirements and applicable codes; under budget and on time.
• Manage development and application of cost effective design approaches.
• Assure strict compliance of produced designs with the National Electrical Code.
• Support construction activities through timely responses to field questions, clarification of design approaches and evaluation of alternate designs.
• Development of resource planning for medium and long term operations of the Engineering Department.
• Supervises team of engineers and support personnel

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Possess 10+ years of directly related engineering experience.
• NC Registered Professional Engineer REQUIRED.
• Minimum 15 years engineering experience and with experience working in the field.
• Proficient with Google Suite and MS Office Suite.
• Proven significant management of utility scale PV projects, REQUIRED.
• Experience in supervising and developing staff
• Comfortable presenting to and interacting with consultants, authorities with jurisdiction, and regulatory agencies.
• Ability to obtain out-of-state PE license.
