Position Overview

We are currently looking to immediately fill the position of Solar Technician I for Virginia, Carolina, and Florida markets. This position would be responsible for attending final inspections for our residential solar installations with the jurisdiction inspectors. When there are issues that arise that would prevent a system from passing final inspections, the inspection specialist would make the simple fixes that would allow the system to pass. Other duties include reporting on the completion status of inspections and scheduling inspections as time permits. The inspection specialist must have own vehicle to transport inspection supplies and collapsible ladder to appointments. This position offers a great opportunity to learn a lot about solar technology and begin a career in a rapidly expanding field (for the right person). It would be great for someone planning to go into electrical work or training programs or the renewable energy field.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with inspectors to meet them and ensure completed jobs pass inspection
  • Compiling appropriate paperwork for inspections
  • Addressing minor install issues to ensure inspections pass
  • Daily reporting on scheduled work
  • Creating a good last touch point in the customer experience

Qualifications

  • Reliable vehicle to transport inspection supplies and collapsible ladder
  • Clean driving record
  • Technically include, familiar with electrical work
