Description
~ The Animal Defenders International's (ADI) mission is to educate, create awareness, and promote the interest of humanity in the cause of justice, and the suppression of all forms of cruelty to animals; wherever possible to alleviate suffering, and to conserve and protect animals and the environment. ~
Having secured and helped enforce an animal circus ban in Bolivia, saving all of the animals, ADI return to Latin America to assist the authorities in Peru and Colombia. Over 100 animals have been rescued during Operation Spirit of Freedom with 33 lions heading home to Africa.
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic leader, committed to volunteer recruitment, mobilization, development, and deployment. Focus on development of volunteer network, nationwide. Would also organize fundraising and volunteer events, represent ADI at public events; assistance & back-up all development functions – answering queries about campaigns and activities; database entry; donation acknowledgement; production of reports and mailing lists; back-up on reception duties.
Qualifications
A motivated team leader, minimum 4 years outreach experience, at least 2 years at a manager level; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with commitment to develop and expand ADI’s volunteer network across the US.
