~ Lakeshore Natural Resource Partnership (LNRP) seeks a dynamic Executive Director to provide collaborative leadership and support to active partner organizations along the eastern shore of Wisconsin from Door County to Milwaukee. ~

Think Globally. Act Locally. LNRP is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that serves as an umbrella for local volunteer-based watershed groups and regional networks along the shores of Lake Michigan. We provide shared staff resources to empower these groups to be more effective as they work to improve the health of the land and water in their communities. Identifying and building relationships around shared values, LNRP strengthens these communities and makes it possible to achieve great things.

LNRP is a trusted source of unbiased information about land management, water quality, climate change and other important environmental issues, while fostering productive and results-oriented dialog between communities and stakeholder groups.

Position Overview

As the Executive Director of LNRP, you will have the flexibility to work from your home or at a mutually agreed-upon location within the Lakeshore Region, one of the country’s most beautiful and vibrant places to live and work. The Lakeshore Region boasts a low cost of living coupled with an abundance of recreational, educational, cultural, and volunteer opportunities.

In addition to being passionate about our Vision and Mission, additional areas of expertise should include:

  • Ability to raise money from private donors, foundations, and businesses.
  • Effective manager of both paid staff and active volunteers.
  • Successful grant-writing experience.
  • A talent for networking and coalition building with financial donors, grant applicants, environmental regulatory agencies, community leaders, and involved citizens.

Compensation

  • Base salary of $70,000 is based on adequate funding to achieve full-time hours.
  • Currently, LNRP has budgeted resources for a .75 FTE position.
  • Expense reimbursement is provided for mileage and other approved costs.

LNRP’s History:

Established in 2003, LNRP has thrived under the leadership of its current Executive Director, Dr. Jim Kettler. During his 12 years with the organization, Jim has built a reputation as a strong advocate for the Great Lakes Basin, a gifted consensus-builder, and an effective project manager. New leadership will be building on his many successes.

LNRP is our region’s leading environmental advocate for the waters of northeast and east central Wisconsin along the Niagara escarpment, all which drain into Lake Michigan. With local watershed partners and associated regional networks, we collaborate to foster stewardship in our planet’s largest watershed and act to champion the environment.
