Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • CTC is seeking an Energy Systems Analyst to support Department of Defense clients across the installation energy and water portfolios.
  • The candidate will focus on risk-to-mission assessments and sensitivity analyses and processes specifically to identify those systems, subsystems, enabling systems (e.g. communications), assets, links and nodes most critical to capabilities required in the accomplishment of an organization’s mission.
  • The ideal candidate would have knowledge of energy and water systems, and can utilize risk analysis and management tools.
  • To be successful, the candidate should be self-motivated and a quick learner with strong analytical, research and both written and spoken communication skills.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • The individual will support the analysis of infrastructure networks and systems.
  • This includes supporting the identification of system enhancements that can successfully deliver capabilities, even when under physical (natural or man-made) or cyberspace attack.
  • Tasks will include collecting, processing, and managing mission and installation data, model formulation, stakeholder engagement, and coordinating with team members to conduct in-depth mission resilience analyses.
  • The individual will be responsible for communicating processes and results to various audiences to get stakeholder buy-in, collect data, inform decision makers, and train users.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in engineering, systems engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, operations research, or related field plus 6 – 8 years directly related experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in modeling and simulation of complex systems.
  • Understanding of System of Systems concepts, interactions, and analysis.
  • Interest in working on DoD projects to advance national security.
  • Willingness and ability to set priorities and deliver under tight deadlines in a heavy workload setting.
  • Ability to work in teams and establish and maintain cross-functional and working relationships.
  • Capability to independently initiate and manage tasks, with a high degree of detail and process orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA or MS in related field plus 4-6 years directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of Air Force structure and operations.
  • Energy and/or water systems expertise.
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python, Visual Basic, and platforms such as Excel.
  • Interest in the application of network and other modeling analyses to energy and water security.

Clearance:

  • U.S. citizenship required. The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance for this position.
