Position Overview

McCormick Taylor, Inc. is currently seeking a highly talented, motivated and experienced Environmental Professional in our Harrisburg, PA office. This position will require a strong understanding of NEPA regulations and requirements and transportation planning expertise. The ideal candidate is an individual with strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and ambition with the ability to work well with a fast-paced team and willingness to take the lead on project assignments.

Qualifications

  • BS in environmental science, planning or related field is required
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in the transportation field
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral (writing sample required)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Aptitude to think creatively and bring ideas and innovation to each project in an effort to streamline processes and workflows

Desirable Technical Expertise:

  • Familiarity with the PennDOT project development process and the CE Expert System
  • Technical studies and analysis, areas of socioeconomics and Section 4(f) preferred
  • Preparation of environmental reports and documents
  • Transportation planning
  • Public involvement and outreach
  • Development of presentation materials
