Position Overview

Sustainability is the intersection of social, environmental, cultural, and economic viability. The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for designing and implementing programs for enhancing positive impact on our communities while lowering environmental impact. DTV believes that success is not only measured in financial terms, but also in how we operate in the context of our community and environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and a systems thinker, and is able to proactively build highly collaborative partnerships with stakeholders inside and outside the company, with involvement in areas such as procurement, facilities, human resources, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Support sustainability efforts and trends in sustainable work processes, environmental science, renewable resources, and other diverse fields.
  • Develop sustainability reports, presentations, or proposals for DTV, our customers and employees, by creating and maintaining sustainability KPIs and other statistics.
  • Develop and manage marketing materials on the sustainability practices of DTV.
  • Represent DTV at conferences and other targeted thought leadership events.
  • Lead the organization in implementing and adhering to RWS, the Responsible Wool Standard, ensuring that sheep are treated with respect based on their Five Freedoms and best practices in the management and protection of their land. Help us adopt the RWS standard in a way that benefits both DTV and our customers.
  • Help to identify and propose Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), build them into core business strategies, sustainably manage value chains through an SDG framework, and align our partnerships to take these efforts forward.
  • Be a thought leader and contributor to our “Sock Genome Project”, building genealogy and lot traceability between finished goods and raw materials.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years experience in corporate sustainability; 2+ years experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry reporting standards related to sustainability, as well as industry trends in SDGs and RWS.
  • Experience with GHG inventory and/or carbon accounting preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy is necessary in order to analyze emissions and carbon reporting, internal marketing campaigns and communications.
  • Organized, responsive, and able to gain support and consensus with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team environment with various personality types to get the work done; ability to relate well and show respect and consideration for others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training in a supply chain environment.
