The team at Cornerstone has substantial private company investment experience which spans from startup ventures to traditional leverage buyouts to distressed turnarounds. The real estate development division acquires land in resort markets and takes it through the development process. We typically make equity investments of $4 – $15 million ($1-3 per individual rounds) in companies with revenues of $2 – $40 million.  We look for majority ownership or control stake in firms located in the USA. Cornerstone is interested  in the energy market and clean technology, particularly in: Alternative Energy & New Materials and Chemicals, Energy-Efficiency, Clean Transport, CHP, Energy Management Systems, Emissions Control, Energy Storage, Fuel Cells, Green Buildings, Hybrid Power Gen., Lighting Systems, and Energy Transmission.

Within the green sector we have some previous investments in Kona Blue (sustainable aquaculture), Horizon Organic (organic milk), and Summit Energy (energy efficiency).
