Chicago Community Ventures provides loans ranging from $25K to $250K to small businesses located in the Chicago area’s low and moderate income communities. Funds must be used for one of the following purposes: working capital; business or leasehold improvements; equipment/inventory; property acquisition; bridge loans; contract financing. We have no specific sector focus. Within the green sector we have provided loans to a green building materials enterprise, a eco-friendly messenger bag company, and a soy-based dessert maker.
CCV also provides small businesses support in accessing a range of alternative financial resources including angel investors, venture capitalists and factoring companies. Along with introductions to such firms, CCV can assess which opportunities fit the company’s needs and can help clients prepare for meetings.
