The West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF) invests in the deployment of clean energy technologies throughout the West Penn Power service region in Pennsylvania. Investments are made to promote the use of renewable and clean energy. Examples of these technologies include: wind, solar, bioenergy, low impact hydropower, natural gas recovery for landfills and anaerobic digesters to name a few.

Our investment tools include: commercial loans, equity investment, subordinated debt, royalty financing in projects as well as companies. WPPSEF often provides financing in conjunction with other lenders or private equity groups. Our loans range from the tens of thousands of dollars to approximately $1 million. The fund also offers an open grant making solicitation which request-for-proposals (RFPs) are periodically issued for specific program areas .
