Biography

Bridges Ventures operates a number of community development venture funds focused on deprived areas of England, job creation, environmental conservation. We will also invest in businesses located outside those areas which bring strong social benefits in sectors such as healthcare, education and the environment. Bridges has invested in businesses ranging from early stage (although near revenue if a start-up) through to later stage and MBOs. We can invest between £500k and £10m alone, as a co-investor or as part of a syndicate.

In addition to business focused funds, Bridges also operates a Sustainable Property Fund which invests in properties in regeneration areas and environmentally sustainable buildings that have potential to make strong financial returns as well as delivering social and environmental impact. Our sustainable property fund invests in all UK property sectors and will actively consider transactions relating to tenant-led development opportunities, mixed-use schemes, healthcare, student accommodation, business space and housing projects.

Within the clean technology sector we have invested in Whelan Refining (motor oil recycling), AeroThermal Group (waste to energy), Credential Environmental (tire and garage waste recycling)
